HO AM I?

A LIFE STORY...

Everything is a resource

A return to my roots... Like many people, I'm the product of a mixture of backgrounds. Mine are Provençal/Italian and Breton. Lulled by these different traditions, the guiding principle of my family history has been to limit consumption to the strict needs of each individual, because it was necessary to preserve, repair and pass on know-how, customs and family objects, out of tradition and necessity, but also because it's important to know where you come from in order to build yourself.

I grew up in the second half of the twentieth century, which was a time when having more and more was the way to be. This frenetic over-consumption, of having for having's sake, of throwing things away even if they were still in working order on the pretext of technological progress or to show off one's success or to be ‘more fashionable’, contributed to a loss of meaning. In recent years, a new awareness on the part of the current generation has heralded a new era. Driven by the need to preserve resources, they are taking a truly responsible approach, valuing old objects because they are still functional or have a history that speaks to them.

I totally identify with this new way of consuming.

La Ressourcière was born out of a desire to return to my deepest values and finally give meaning to my actions!

Everything is a resource, isn't it? A piece of furniture or an object can be restored, transformed and reused. Bearing scars, symbols of their past, they wander around garage sales, the local rubbish tip or the back of a garage, abandoned to anyone willing to give them another chance.

All the furniture and objects you'll find on my site caught my eye.  Now it's your turn to fall in love.

Their names are Léon, Augustin, Eulalie and Eugénie, with many more to come. An old name, because they are, but still relevant!

So get involved in writing their new page of history in your home, in your everyday life, because they're still worth the diversions...
